Let’s just put politics aside for an evening. To be specific, the evening of May 7 because that is when An Evening with Hillary Rodham Clinton takes place; the former Democratic presidential candidate will be giving a talk about her experience during the 2016 US presidential election and what the future holds for her. She will also be sharing stories from her bestselling book, What Happened.
While not everyone may agree with her politics, there’s no denying the woman is very resilient and accomplished. Lawyer, First Lady, Senator, Secretary of State, 2016 Democratic presidential nominee… her CV easily beats most people’s.
I personally don’t have plans to work in politics or run for office but I do admire her story and I do believe we can all learn a lot from her plethora of life experiences. Sure, some of the things she’s dealt with are on a bigger scale but they are still relatable. We have all experienced getting back up after a loss and she did just that after two major ones – first was to Barack Obama in 2008 and then most recently to Donald Trump in 2016. After her first failed run for president, she fought her way to become the first woman nominated for president by a major American political party. Sure, she lost to Trump in the end but that is still a history-making accomplishment that women and girls can be inspired by and say, “Get it, girl!”
Clearly, she has lived quite a life and has experienced so much that she will have a lot to say and a lot to share for the evening. There won’t be any shortage of material for the night that’s for sure!
An Evening with Hillary Rodham Clinton will be at Spark Arena and tickets for this event are on sale via Ticketmaster.
