Celebrate imagination and creativity as one of New Zealand’s most well-known brands Weta Workshop is introducing an Auckland-based attraction called “Weta Workshop Unleashed!” this coming December.
The experience is being described as part film set and part creative workshop where visitors are able to get an all-access pass to Weta Workshop’s creative process and explore reimagined workrooms, massive miniatures, set pieces, and practical effects from three original films. Also expect to see some monsters, giants and robots!
The Auckland attraction is inspired by the actual Weta Workshop in Wellington and as someone who has done the Weta Workshop tour in Wellington and absolutely loved it, I suspect that the Auckland workshop is going to deliver the same amount of joy, smiles and awe to those privy of seeing the quality of work that’s been produced. I mean we should expect nothing less from the super talented (and award-winning!) team at Weta Workshop.
This 90-minute guided experience opens on 15 December at 88 Federal Street (or at SkyCity to make it easy).
