In today’s extremely competitive smartphone market, companies don’t just quietly release a new phone. The launch of this new phone requires a spectacle, a big song and dance in order to get the word out. Speaking of song and dance, there is a free music festival at SKYCITY to celebrate the launch of Huawei’s P30 Series smartphones.

The Huawei P30 Fed Street Festival takes place along Federal Street on April 12, the day the new P30 smartphones are available in New Zealand.

The all-ages event runs from 4pm-10pm with live music from Sons Of Zion, Kings, JessB, Che Fu, and Laughton Kora, with support from DJs Karn Hall and Arii Jade.

As part of the event, restaurants Bellota and The Grill by Sean Connolly are setting up pop-up eateries along Federal Street to feed you for the evening. And if those aren’t enough, Federal Street is lined with restaurants like MASU, Federal Delicatessen, Depot, and Huami that there’s a slim chance you’re going home hungry.
