There I was absent-mindedly scrolling through my Facebook News Feed when I saw a photo that transformed my face into the wide eyes and raised eyebrows emoji. It was a photo of fried chicken waffle cones.
Let me repeat myself so it sinks in some more… I saw photo of delicious-looking fried chicken in a big waffle cone!
The photo is about the Orleans & Oysters FEASTival set to take place this weekend, May 19 and 20, at popular rooftop bar La Zeppa.
This weekend event is all about throwing a fun Southern style party. You’ve got burgers, pork ribs, pretzels, fried pickles, oysters featuring bloody mary shooters, and some American bar games like shuffleboard.
To add even more to the spectacle, there are tarot card readings, a barber’s chair for the guys, and a free Instabooth (because you need to take a photo of you being there or it never happened).
And what’s a party without good music? George FM DJs, an afro-funk band, and a saxophonist are on-hand to play tunes for the event.
Entry to the FEASTival is $10 and you get a free Panhead beer or Soho wine on arrival.
