I have been waiting so long for this and soon my patience will be rewarded because we are now days away from the opening of the flagship H&M store in Downtown Auckland.
The official grand opening is on August 30 at 10am but as with any major launch such as this, queues to get into the store will start earlier in the day. I am no psychic but I would be shocked if I don’t see long lines to get inside the store. The hype is real.
There will be opening day activity from 7am so that should help entertain early birds. And lucky you if you’re one of the first 300 people in line because you’ll receive treats and H&M gift bags. Also up for grabs for opening day visitors is a chance to win a $500 H&M gift card… Oh the things I would buy with that $500 gift card.
The 3500sq m store set across four levels will be the country’s largest H&M store to date and will have something for everyone. The store will have clothing and accessories for women, men, and children PLUS, and this is the one I’m most excited to check out, a homeware collection (we still do not have an IKEA so this will do for now). The flagship store will be the first in Auckland to have the entire H&M Home collection so that’s a bonus for us Aucklanders.
The H&M flagship store will be at the Commercial Bay development, on the corner of Customs Street and Queen Street, in the city centre.
