Taste of Auckland is always a big deal. After all, it is the leading food festival of the year. But for 2018, the festival will have an even bigger cause for celebration as this year marks the festival’s 10th anniversary!
Taste of Auckland 2018 will be on November 1 to 4 at its new location on Queens Wharf incorporating The Cloud, Shed 10, and all the available outdoor spaces. Let’s hope for a beautiful and sunny day because then everyone can enjoy delicious food along with a view of the stunning Waitemata Harbour.
Because this is first and foremost a foodie event, let’s talk about the food. Here is a rundown of this year’s full restaurant line-up: Baduzzi, Culprit, Farina, Gerome, Little Bird Organics, Lowbrow, Miann, Paris Butter, The Shucker Brothers, The Smoko Room at the Sawmill Brewery, Vodka Room, and Xoong. Each restaurant will have a full kitchen set up on the wharf so you can try some of their signature dishes. Plus, this year each restaurant will have a sustainable seafood dish on their menus for you to enjoy. Delish!
Along with indulging in dishes from some of the top restaurants in Auckland, you can also enjoy wines, beers, and artisan products from all over the country. There will be about 20 local wineries, a craft beer trail, and over 120 artisan producers at the festival.
And let’s not forget about the entertainment. Expect to be entertained with live music performances against the backdrop of the Waitemata Harbour. Performers include Tami Neilson and Hollie Smith – DUO.
