The Auckland Fringe arts festival is back for another round of unusual offerings and out of the box venues.
Auckland Fringe is all about embracing otherness and the programme showcases some of the best bizarre and beautiful works of incredibly talented local and international makers in the arts scene. You can also experience their works in a variety of art forms such as comedy, cabaret, theatre, circus, dance, live art, acrobatics, and a bunch of other fun events.
Some of the events in this year’s programme feature an all-ages K-Pop dance party, a gig with the Russian protest band Pussy Riot, and a live on-stage experience featuring award-winning playwright Sam Brooks where he interviews a different actress each night and writes a role for her to see if he really can write well for women as the critics claim.
Visit the Auckland Fringe website for the full programme because there are tons of good stuff in there.
Auckland Fringe 2019 is on from February 19 to March 3 at various locations around central Auckland.
