A Boozy Potions Class Is Making Its Way To Auckland Early Next Year

I received an email for registering my interest to attend something called “The Wizard’s Cauldron”. Basically, it will be a pop-up bar in Auckland that will mix magic and alcohol – a truly magical combination.

I’m going to be really careful not to mention a certain famous wizard who went to a certain famous school for wizards and witches because this pop-up is not associated or affiliated with you know who. While it’s not an official event, I think members of the fandom will still be interested in participating in this because it sounds like the experience will be catering to the hardcore fans (I’m definitely keen).

Described as an immersive potion-making experience, the 90-minute experience will involve brewing potions, casting spells, drinking plenty of mead, and completing challenges to unlock ingredients needed for people’s concoctions. Plus, a robe and wand will be given to everyone on entry (but it must be returned at the end… boo).

“The Wizard’s Cauldron” will be in Auckland from January 30, 2020 until March 1, 2020 at an undisclosed Auckland location. Tickets are currently not available for purchase but in the meantime, you can sign up and register your interest via Eventbrite to receive ticket release updates.
