Auckland’s Fried Chicken Festival Will Be Back In August!

After looking like it’s going to be scrapped this year, I am very pleased to share the news that the Auckland Fried Chicken Festival is set to go ahead in 2020 on Saturday, 8 August.

Just like last year’s event, the festival will be held at Shed 10 in Queens Wharf where hundreds of fried chicken lovers can be accomodated. To help manage the size of the crowds, the festival will be split across four sessions on the day, 12pm-2pm, 2pm-4pm, 5pm-7pm and 7pm-9pm.

There will be plenty of vendors at the festival who will be serving delicious fried chicken. The restaurants that are already on board include Mexico, Lowbrow and Tiger Burger. Also included in the line-up are local food trucks NomNom, Temaki Truck NZ and Bun Hun. Plus, you can get your fix of American-style treats from The Pie Piper and gelato from Lalele Organic Gelato.

To accompany the fried chicken and keep spirits high, the festival will have live entertainment and fun activities, which include axe throwing and golf. The axe throwing in particular sounds very intriguing.

Pre-sale tickets for $10 each are available for purchase now via Eventfinda. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $15 each, with kids under 12 able to head in for free.
