Before we discuss things further, I want to start off by admitting that I don’t order hot dogs when I eat out. Hot dogs in the menu never stand out to me, especially because hot dogs can be cooked at home with little to no skill required. What does interest an unimpressed diner like myself is when the hot dogs are only worth $1 each.
Popular Auckland bar Sweat Shop Brew Kitchen is running a promotion called “Dollar Dog Wednesdays” and the name nicely sums up what diners will be getting. Basically, Sweat Shop is serving $1 hot dogs every Wednesday from 5pm. The “dollar dogs” are dished up classic American style, with a hot dog, bun, ketchup, and mustard.
You have to purchase a drink so you can order the $1 hot dogs and you are limited to five hot dogs per drink. While this is a restriction, you are likely going to need another drink anyway by the time you reach your sixth hot dog.
