DO DO DODO DO DO DOOOOOO DO, DO DODO DO DO DOOOOO

I have been dying to write about this. As a HUGE Potterhead, I get excited about anything and everything to do with Harry Potter – I’m all over those Harry Potter Buzzfeed quizzes. So when I heard about the Harry Potter Film Concert Series, I was ecstatic.

The concert series will begin with Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone at Spark Arena on Sunday, July 2. The Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra will perform, to picture, music from the entire film. While the orchestra performs, the film will simultaneously play in high-definition on a 40-foot screen to add to the unique experience. I’m personally most excited to see Oliver Wood on such a massive screen. He’s a total cutie in this film.

What makes this concert truly special is hearing a live symphony orchestra perform John William’s incredible score. John Williams is a legend. As someone who is so lucky to have grown up with Harry Potter, I am instantly transported back to my childhood and the wizarding world the moment I hear Hedwig’s Theme. I can’t think of Harry Potter without playing that iconic tune in my head.

So if you want to relive the magic of the first film in a one of a kind way, book your tickets here.
