When news broke that The Pussycat Dolls were reuniting, who knew that it was leading up to the reveal of the stellar line-up of next year’s So Pop concert.

The ultimate pop concert will return to Auckland May 2, 2020 at Spark Arena.

So Pop’s debut last year was a success with the likes of Aqua, Vengaboys, Blue, and B*Witched performing pop hit after pop hit for hours. While last year’s line-up was good, this year’s line-up is going to satisfy pop lovers even more.

As I briefly touched on earlier, The Pussycat Dolls will be reuniting and headlining So Pop 2020. It’s been more than a decade since The Pussycat Dolls were last in Auckland and it was such a long time ago that the supporting act for their concert was none other than Lady Gaga. How things have changed since then! The Pussycat Dolls are one of the best-selling female groups of all time with pop hits such as Don’t Cha (ft. Busta Rhymes), When I Grow Up, and Buttons (ft. Snoop Dogg).

Another group that will be part of So Pop 2020 is Steps and this will mark the group’s performance debut in New Zealand. Steps are one of the UK’s most successful pop groups of all time and are responsible for insanely catchy pop songs such as Chain Reaction, Tragedy, and Last Thing On My Mind.

Jesse McCartney will also be joining the line-up and I think seeing him perform Beautiful Soul will already be worth the price of admission.

The other acts performing at So Pop 2020 are Smash Mouth, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Alice DJ, Whigfield, Reel 2 Real featuring The Mad Stuntman, and Samantha Mumba.

General public tickets go on sale on December 9, 2019 at 1pm via Ticketmaster.
