If you have not heard of Aquaria before reading this then you clearly do not watch RuPaul’s Drag Race – which is a travesty in itself but we can talk about this some other time. At twenty-two years old, Aquaria became the youngest winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race when she was crowned the season 10 champ. Straight off the heels from her win, Aquaria is currently touring the world, which includes a stop in Auckland for one club-style show.
For one night only, the Drag Race star is performing and doing a meet and greet on July 31 at the Studio on K’ Road.
The meet and greet ticket includes the main show, a cocktail or mocktail on arrival, platters of food, and more. And to enhance the experience further, following the meet and greet, a drag queen will be escorting you to the main show. Now, that’s a nice VIP touch.
For the main show, local drag talent will be on hand to get you in the mood and your hosts for the evening will be New Zealand drag queen icons Dame Buckwheat and Miss Tess Tickle. Doors open for the main show at 7:30p.m. and it finishes around 11:30p.m. so this event pretty much covers your Tuesday night.
