Originally scheduled for August, I’m delighted to say that the Sing-A-Long-A Sound of Music show has been postponed (not cancelled!) to November.
The show will now take place on Saturday, 21 November at The Civic.
As the name of the show suggests, this won’t be your typical film screening. Yes, audience members will watch a screening of The Sound of Music but accompanying the classic film will be song lyrics on the big screen. Feel free to sing along to delightful songs such as Do-Re-Mi, My Favorite Things, Edelweiss and So Long, Farewell.
Dress-ups are strongly encouraged. They said the more extra, the better. Okay, they didn’t exactly use the word “extra” but you get the point. Part of a group? Come dressed up as a group of nuns!
Before the screening, a host will lead the vocal warm up and take everyone through their free fun packs. The best costume winner will also be named.
