There have been several wizardry-themed events popping up lately and I say, “Here, just take my money!” The latest one is a Fantastic Feast Dinner hosted by Stamford Plaza on December 8.
The dinner features a family style feast and dessert buffet. To add that “fantastic” detail to it, everyone gets to enjoy a giggle water cocktail on arrival.
The menu includes shared platters of:
– Selection of Breads and Dips
– Heirloom Tomato, Red Onion, Focaccia and Basil
– Globe Artichoke, Baby Spinach with Thyme and Honey Dressing
– Slow Roasted Hawke’s Bay Lamb Leg with Mint Jelly
– Local Roast Chicken with Thyme Jus
– Crispy Free-Range Pork Belly with Apple Sauce
– Buttered Asparagus and Broccolini with Almonds
– Herb Roasted Root Vegetables
Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favourite characters for a chance to win. If someone comes in dressed up as a legit Whomping Willow, I’d give him or her all the awards. I mean can you just imagine the creativity that would have gone to a costume like that? And this is an adult only event so by all means, you should go all out with your costume as you’re going to be amongst peers.
The evening’s entertainment are magician Mike Lindsay and DJ Jarom Hall.
